14 weeks of the good, the bad and the scary!

Well, it has been a while.  I knew I wouldn't be good at this blogging thing, but things are definitely getting exciting and worth talking about so hopefully I can do better.  I am 19 weeks 5 days pregnant now.  I have definitely had my ups and downs.  The pregnancy itself is going great.  Baby seems to be growing and I have been feeling movements for a couple of weeks now.  The scary thing that just happened is at 19wks 3 days I had to have emergency surgery to remove my gallbladder.  I went to the emergency room on Saturday Oct 10/22 with severe pain in my upper abdomen.  I had been experiencing what I thought was gas pain for over a week, but I ended up having acute pancreatitis due to a gallstone getting lodged in my bile duct.  They did surgery the next day once the size of my enlarged pancreas went down.  I was scared to have the surgery, but I was not able to keep my emotions in check because of how scared I was for the baby.  My wonderful husband was there for me every step of the way as were Kody and Kaylee in sending their love.  Monday, I should have been discharged, but I was having trouble breathing and they thought I had a pulmonary embolism, blood clot.  THAT was very scary.  After many tests and seeing many doctors, that was ruled out.  I was discharged Tuesday afternoon.  It is Wednesday now and I am home alone and doing pretty good.  The pain is was much worse this morning, but once I got up and moved around a little, I am feeling much better with no pain meds.  I am thankful to my Heavenly Father and my family for being there for me in thoughts and prayers.  I am thankful the baby made it through this ordeal and appears to be doing just fine.  I am on the road to recovery and looking forward to our Anatomy Scan and hopefully gender determination ultrasound on Monday Oct 31st.
